The Resources area includes multiple pages:

- Data – Grid or Detail mode list of resources in your current data load and their attributes.
- Capacity – Shows the capacity or cost by time period for every resource in your current data load.
- Utilization – Shows the utilization %, demand, capacity, or variance by time period for every resource in your current data load.
- Skill Matrix – Shows a cross-reference of resources to skills and proficiencies for each resource.
These text page menu items appear in the page menu at the top of the screen when the Resources area is selected.
Note: The pages that are visible are determined by administrator configuration based on user rights.

Resources vs. Users
Users: are entities – usually people – who are registered in the ResourceFirst database User table.
Attributes of users include: Login ID, Full Name, password, and access permissions (rights) to see or modify data and to access features and functions of the product.
It is NOT required that users also be registered as resources in ResourceFirst.
If a user is NOT also a resource, users CANNOT be assigned to projects or events and CANNOT track time.
Whether or not also a resource, users identified as project managers CAN be identified as the manager of a project (multiple users can be given “project manager” access rights to a project).
Users can be assigned to Events and can receive alerts and messages.
Resources: are entities – usually people – who are registered in the ResourceFirst database Resource table.
Resources CAN be assigned to projects.
Resources can be linked to users (one to one) by including the user Login ID in the resource Key field on the Resource>Data page.
A user linked to a resource CAN track time.
