Introduction

We are excited to announce the release of ResourceFirst v9.1, packed with new features, enhancements, and crucial fixes to improve your experience. This release aims to elevate the efficiency and functionality of ResourceFirst.

New Features

  • Skill hierarchy
  • UDFs (User-Defined Fields) support parent child relationship between values.
    • Different values in a field can have parents from different lists
  • UDFs can have a color associated with a value
  • GYR column has a new list configured in the Admin > Other section. Can define as many colors as needed

  • Users can download multiple documents in a single action
  • Period data on Waterline pages can be edited directly in the grid
  • Waterline pages are auto calculated on changes to the period data grid

  • Asset utilization updates correctly on forecast changes

  • VS3089 – added confirmation prompt while attempting to delete nodes with items inside them or their branch
  • When saving time sheet value, the timesheet will be resubmitted if the timesheet is already approved
  • Z5980 – auto grow text area in forms
  • Z5981 – Project Phases & Milestones inconsistency with colors. If a user adds a “Default Phase or Milestone” to their project, it should keep the Abbreviation and not populate with the next available.
  • Z5989 – error when saving Admin > Filters
  • Z5989 – IN and NOT IN did not get the correct value list all the time
  • Z6011 – Some administrators could not edit the country name field on assignments
  • Z6017 – Admin setting for time tracking mode sticks on track time pages
  • Z6091 – Filter on changes on assignment pages
  • Z6091 – Hide zero rows on assignment pages
  • Z6105 – some UDFs did not show the blank option on the column header filter value list
  • Z6123 – Capacity saves failed on insufficient right when the user had appropriate right level
  • Z6141 – totals and summaries did not calculate correctly when switching modes in assignment pages
  • Z6148 – error when assignment pages had hide zero checked before data was loaded
  • Z6173 – Reset password dialog UI issue in Admin > Users
  • Z6180 – Rates & scenario costs discrepancy in pivot table
  • Z6181 – load scenario dialog was auto setting the “Show Scenario” box
  • Z6181 – Scenario window edit did not apply all settings correctly
  • Z6223 – increased the pulse timeout to one minute
  • Z6240 – profile image upload didn’t work in all cases
  • Z6240 – Users can now add comments to unsaved events and it will automatically save the events before saving the comments
  • Z6255 – issue when deleting financial assignments with insufficient right level
  • Z6274 – shill shortfall displays correctly in skill pivot
  • Z6277 – time zone issue on mapped fields from project or resource pages to assignment pages
  • Z6338 – need R1 right to add assignments
  • Z6367 – on import a column header will be found on partial match
  • Z6380 – logout page goes to SSO when configured
  • Z6394 – last two resources in compliance report are partially visible on some screens
  • Z6395 – session expired page “Login” link can take users to SSO page
  • Z6490 – fixed renderer issue for lists on Utilization
  • Z6503 – Max hour per day issue when not using 8hpd
  • Z6519 – Financial Lists > Rate Matrix – adjustable column width

Upgrade Information

Upgrading to ResourceFirst v9.1 is straightforward and can be completed with minimal downtime.
