About Page – System Version and License Key Parameters

This article explains how to identify the installed version of ResourceFirst and how to check compliance with license parameters.

How to Access Version and License Information

Step 1: Click Administration>About

Information about the system version and license parameters is displayed:

Version Information

It is helpful to provide the version information when interacting with PDWare Support, including:

Name
Version*
Version Info
Licensed To

* The four sections of the version number, separated by periods, uniquely define the installed software:

Major . Minor . Build . Commit

License Status

PDWare licenses ResourceFirst based on the number of active resources being managed and/or the number of active users.

Resource Limit and the User Limit show the licensed resources and licensed users.

Active Resource Count and Active User Count show the current number of active resources and users.

The expiration of the license is also shown.

The relevant fields for specifying license compliance status are:

  • Resource Limit
  • Resource Count
  • Active Resource Count
  • User Limit
  • Active User Count
  • Expiration Date

System Options

System options are additional codes that indicate how your system will operate. If the option appears in this section, it means it is activated.

For example, if an R is listed, the system uses an hourly rate for labor; otherwise, labor rates are monthly.

If a V is present, non-labor cost items are tied to the Resource OBS; if not present, they are tied to the Cost Center OBS.

See the article License Keys and Codes – Appended Letters for a description of all license key options.
