If 10 day tasks have been entered, all with the same start and
finish dates, the Gantt view looks like the screen shot
below.
Reschedule task dates
This schedule method delays the start of tasks to the work day
after the finish of all predecessors. It does not remove float,
that is it does not move the start earlier if all predecessors
finish more than one day before the task start.
Task 3
start date was set to 30Dec2009. Reschedule task dates moves Task 3
and all its successors later in time.
Compress schedule
This schedule method does remove float, that is it does move the
start earlier if all predecessors finish more than one day before
the task start.
