PDWare Portfolio Architecture

The PDWare Portfolio application consists of a client front-end
that reads and writes data to a
database on a server.
The front-end is made up of different modules ("books") which allow
users to enter, manage, and analyze data in various ways. These
data entry and display components were constructed using a
Microsoft Excel™-based framework to provide a familiar, easy-to-use
environment.
Note that the PDWare Portfolio application does not make use of
Excel formulas within cells. The actual data processing and
analysis is handled fully within the PDWare Portfolio custom code
components.
