Commands

If checked, these options apply filters you set on projects or resources to the Effort Forecasts sheet and to demand calculations (as detailed below):

Apply project filter

Resource demand is calculated for the visible projects only; project demand and analysis are not affected.

Apply resource filter

Project demand and analysis is calculated from the effort demand and capacity for visible resources only; resource demand and analysis are not affected.

Apply effort filter

Project and resource demand and analysis is calculated from the visible effort (assignment) records only.

*IMPORTANT:If you forget that the HIDE ZERO DEMAND checkboxes have been checked you may be confused by application behavior when you later add resources, projects, or assignments. Since demand is zero after they have been added; when you move among application tabs the new records will disappear.

The Zero Demand Options hide rows where demand is zero in all periods. The SAVE AS DEFAULTS checkbox saves all dialog settings (on all tabs) to the local ini "personality" file.

These settings will be in effect the next time you start the application.

Over/Under Utilization Criteria

The parameters in this box define the criteria for applying the over and underutilization filter commands. In the screen shot above, resources who have 4 or more periods of utilization greater than or equal to 110% will be visible if the overutilization filter is applied and those who have 4 or more periods of less than or equal to 50% utilization will be visible if the underutilization filter is applied.
